The Adult Inpatient Tool (AiT) is set up to enable nursing staff to record information to review workload and to calculate a recommended Whole Time Equivalent (rWTE), using occupied beds and patient dependency.
This tool provides a consistent and systematic approach to gathering workload data in adult inpatient areas with more than 16 registered beds.
