Under The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (the FOI Act), you have the right to know how public services like Healthcare Improvement Scotland are organised and run. This includes being able to find out how much they cost and how decisions were made.
You also have the right to:
- know what services we provide
- what our goals and targets are
- how well we are doing
We want to make things simple and easy for you, so we’re committed to being as open as possible about these things. We aim to show what’s happening and to make sure that any information you need is easy to request and access.
We also publish expenditure information.
Publication scheme
Our Publication Scheme, made under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 along with the Guide to Information. It’s designed to help you find:
- the information we publish
- other information we hold
We adopted the Scottish Information Commissioner’s Single Model Publication Scheme in its entirety.
Guide to information
In adopting the Single Model Scheme, Healthcare Improvement Scotland has produced a ‘Guide to Information’ which:
- allows you to see what information is available (and what is not available) in relation to each class
- states what charges may be applied
- explains how to find the information easily
- provides contact details for enquiries and to get help with accessing the information
- explains how to request information that has not been published
