Knowledge and Skills Framework
A knowledge and skills framework has been developed. It is for health and care staff. It will support your understanding of your role in the application of the Health and Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act 2019. It shows what different staffing groups need to know and do to the meet the obligations of the Act.

A Guide to the Health and Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act 2019
The Health and Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act 2019 will come into force on 01 April 2024. We’ve developed guidance to support health and care staff as they deliver the new act.

Maintaining safe and effective staffing learning system
There is a learning system to support health and care staff. It is designed for staff involved in workforce planning across all sectors. This system provides a platform:

- share the learning between teams
You can also share knowledge and resources online. Access the learning system through our Microsoft Teams channel. This secure space contains a suite of useful learning resources.
Tailored support
We run ‘Hub’ events for workforce teams which provide opportunities for shared learning.
