How to report concerns about harm or about quality of care

If you, or someone you know, is at risk of harm don’t ignore it. Contact your local council by email or phone to share your concerns. You can do so anonymously. The matter will be dealt with sensitively and confidentially. Support will be given if needed.

Support and information to help you to do this can be found by visiting the Act Against Harm website.

Independent healthcare

In some cases, we may also be able to respond to concerns. Contact us if you are concerned about the quality of care in an independent healthcare service.

Independent healthcare services include:

  • independent hospitals
  • voluntary hospices
  • private psychiatric hospitals
  • independent clinics

Visit the independent healthcare complaints section of our website.
