Summary
We are developing standards for pregnancy screening: chromosomal and health conditions.
These standards relate to the national screening programme to assess the chance of a baby having:
- Down’s syndrome, Edwards’ syndrome or Patau’s syndrome
- One of eleven conditions screened at the mid pregnancy scan including spina bifida and cardiac conditions
These standards are a review of the 2019 Pregnancy screening: Fetal anomaly standards.
The consultation on the draft standards has now closed.
