Summary
This three year workforce plan covers 2022-2025. We have aligned the plan with our strategic priorities. It reflects our three year operational and financial planning processes. It also factors in Scottish Government and Cabinet Secretary priorities.
The plan outlines how we will plan, attract, train, employ, retain and nurture the workforce we need. To do this we will deliver sustainable, high-quality services. Taking this approach will help us to achieve our strategic and operational priorities. Recognising the significant workforce pressures NHS boards face, the plan sets out:
- the current workforce position
- known future pressures and opportunities
- how we will recruit and develop the workforce in the short to medium-term
